Thailand, the “land of smiles,” is renowned for its tropical beaches and carefree holiday pleasures. But Thailand is also an industrial and agricultural country, which has been making great efforts for some time to reduce CO2 emissions in order to help the environment.A successful example of this is Thailand‘s first biogas treatment plant in which biogas is produced from agricultural waste.

AERZEN supports biomethane production in the “land of smiles”
In a downstream multi-stage treatment process, the CO2 and other impurities contained in the biogas are separated from the methane. The biomethane produced in this way is then further processed to CNG (compressed natural gas) and can thus be used as fuel for CNG-powered vehicles.
Important components of this pilot plant are AERZEN biogas packages of the VMX series, which are used to compress the biogas in various process steps. The customer chose AERZEN products because of their well-known reliability, the low maintenance requirements of this compressor series and the multiple references that AERZEN can show with its biogas compressors for the most varied biogas treatment processes.
